Countering Atlantean heroes (mostly fanatics) with Loki

Any good tips? Cant seem to counter them with anything, especially because of their selfhealing

microing a good meat shield RC or Jarls (not infantry) backed with plenty of ballista

tried a couple of games but theyre too slow and i get flanked alot

any other strategies?

1)micro better
2)dont drag it to late game take em out quick
3)map control especially over gold mines to not let them advance
4)take up 4 tcs to have pop advantage and then hit him straight on
5)dont even fight his fanatics, just raid hardcore

lol? Hero fanatics are expensive pop-gobblers. If they are spamming hero fanatics all I have to say is lol. Build throwing axemen and just don't let them get surrounded. I assume you're talking about lategame because that's the only time they could ever afford this. If they aren't making heroes then build lots of myth units (more than you think are necessary). If they get the healing heroes tech they probably suck because hyperion is terrible. ta>fanatics

I don't really know anything about norse units so what I'm saying is completely wrong.

Fully upgraded Fanatics have about double the stats of fully upgraded (Skadi) TA at only 1.5 times the pop. So you would probably need some meat shields, myth would be best but cavalry is usually more available although fanatics get x2 damage vs them.

If they are Hero Fanatics then they have slightly better stats which is still around double the stats of a TA but now they use double the pop. So in this case cavalry would be a better option than myth as meat shields.

Ballista look very nice, but I have no idea what kind of tracking they have.

bazooka this problem is usually in like 3v3 games. i cant raid all 3 so i have to have a late game plan

but ballistas like i said are too slow and too easy to flank especially when u have more opponents

Then your partners suck. If you have a greek or atlantean partner, tell them to make archers and cover ur ass while u cover his elsewhere

Myth units are amazing. Spam fire giants. If they, for whatever reason, are making all their fanatics heroes just use throwing axemen.

The only time i would ever see fit to make hero fanatics is when trying to kill a titan. 15 Fanatic heros make pretty quick work of it. Considering they get 450% bonus or something like that

jarls with throwing axemen and ballista shouln't be a problem.. use laming techniques like towering up and walls
