| This isn't a general stratagem, but it is a general discussion some hope I'm not in the wrong place . Anyways lately I been hearing and playing people over and over who just don't have good sportsmanship. I just wanna talk about things that we all can to do to make this game a better experience for the newcomers and the experienced. FIRST OF ALL 1. I'll start with the winners. We all know how it feels to to lose to a pro, lose to someone continually, and never ever win any of are games(well maybe not Ragenrox ), but anyways I think we are all guilty of this sin. LETS ALL STOP CALLING PEOPLE NOOBS, NOOBIES, NUBES, GAYS, GAYLORDS, KING OF GAYS, FAILS TO SOCIETY, NATURES WORSE CREATION, etc. Like really, it just not right that a person who is trying to learn how to play aom is getting constantly called these names by us so called "pros" and it doesn't make the situation better. We are supposed to be setting the stage for everyone else. I really don't get angry over anyone making derogatory comments during play or hate messages, because I ignore them like the man I am, anyways. But when we are playing team and all three people on yr team is calling you noob, you get more than ruffled up. I'm not talking to anyone specifically, and I know everyone on here know better. Anyways when ever we have someone who doesn't play good in our team, or when we beat someone in 3 min without rushing, we should always tell them that they tried and before blocking them from contact with us, tell them some pointers on how they can improve. And to all the people who weren't pro and who happen to beat one, its okay to be happy, but don't be telling them they suck. (They will come back to you and get revenge with there full power anyway, cause chances are they lost because they weren't taking you seriously any ways. , but lets keep it together and encourage one another. ) 2. The losers. One of the main reasons I decided to start this post is because lately I've been hearing about people actually having the power to cause sync errors within the game the stop it fir working. If you are one of these people who like to do this then i have too say... SUX IT UP AND STOP BEING A WHINER. We all cant win all of our games ( well maybe Ragenrrox ), but when you are going to lose, don't be a coward and just mess with the system. Thats just wrong and is considered cheating, and I do NOT tolerate playing with cheaters of any kind. Lets also not isult the person we played and ask them on pointers to inprove. If they ignore you just leave them alone. I also know when you our losing we like to play the run-around tag game with Calvary or a fast unit, or try to wall up our villies for the end, (boy i miss doing that ) but it would save both you and the person playing time if you just resign. If you have a fighting chance continue, but if you don't then throw in the towel. For all you below the age of 18, (and some below 30 :p), Im giving you tips that would make you more mature and better in yr overall game play. Well I just wanted everyone to have a better time and playing and I will try to update this post adding other things I see we need to fix. I hope we all learned something. Happy owning!!! | |

| stop being a puss let the hate feed you just eat it up let all that shit people say motivate you let it make you play harder and harder so when you do get better and finally beat that a**hole its just that much better never judge yourself on how many losses or wins you have but measure your progress I actually look forward to playing an opponent who is much better than me you learn sooo much more suppa seriously take this to consideration | |

| Also try to keep in mind how frustrating it is trying to play with a partner who advances to classical age at 8 minutes. I don't know why any1 would OoS in gr, there's no point. On eso it stops you from losing points but gr doesn't have a rate system.... | |

| You're right suppa to create the topic!
A good player won't tell you "You're a noob, looser, sucker..." because if he's really good, even unbeatable, he's gonna say it to everybody and then he's a big bastard.
No, only average players, who success in beating you, seize the opportunity to post up their temporary superiority, and are themselves the real gays...
But, as I said, it's only temporar and bazooka is right : If you keep training and playing with good players, you'll improve your skill and get better.
When you said that I don't loose any game, that's wrong: Because I don't play so much, and for example benimussus plays a lot, he's now better than me!
So it's possible for everybody to get skill and be good.
But, you can't change people's behaviour... bastards will remain bastards.
So, enjoy playing, and ban from your friendlist people who are not fairplay.

there's a problem, it seems 19 out of 20 do not want to listen to any advice and will flame you for giving any and yeah, losers stop playing hide and seek, stop wasting my 5 minutes going mythic, researching omniscience and casting meteor on your ass

| 5 minutes isn't much.
A few times when I've played Kronos against someone or in a team game on 'Conquest' large map and there is sometimes that 1 person that will hide. No omniscience as Kronos =(
Usually my teamates will not be able to get omniscience even when I tell them how, but most of the time even when they do get it, they can't find the people hiding. So then I have to get some turma and make them scout the entire map at the same time. Not a big deal, fairly easy anyway. It only starts to really really suck if they start hiding in the water on maps like midgard . . . and if you resign they "win"
I hope I am one of the people that don't call people NOOBS constantly. Well at least I don't remember too many times I have called people noobs to their face. I would usually say something like "Suppa, didn't play. He missed out on the fun. It was a 2v3 game." I generally tend to only use noob if I'm discussing a bad player to friends after the game.
But really I've only seen NOOB spammed from South American/Brazilian players after they win a 3v2 game because one of their opponents disconnects . . . Or maybe they just don't know enough English to say something nice. They also seem to spam NOOB when they lose. But they aren't all like that, like GDM_JamesBond and a few others are polite enough.
Giving out a few pointers after the game is a very good thing to do, but really shouldn't put too much effort into it if you think the other person won't listen. If it to people you know then go ahead. I remember once Rage game me a few pointers after I played him in a 2v2, definitely improved my game a bit.
Oh, and just other pointers to host a game and keep everyone happy - Don't make rooms for 8+ people, and then start kicking arbitrary people because you suddenly want to play a 2v2 game. - Don't just kick people because they didn't join or whatever, ask them if they had a problem and/or direct them to the http://aom.gaming.cx/ website. - Don't go kicking everyone because someone cries 'italics', just tell the affected people to rejoin (this would usually fix it anyway) Well, that was really just a message to stop hosts kicking people for crap reasons. Everyone affected gets annoyed, upset, pissed off, and they will rejoin your game because they do not know what the problem was, or maybe they will keep rejoining and rejoining just to piss you off.
I just hope the atmosphere doesn't turn into something similar to a console fps such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online mode or DoTA where people are screaming NOOB at each other every 5 seconds. Maybe it is a good thing we don't have voice chat here.
