| Ok, I have a few questions that are kinda challenging so if you are good at this kind of thing plz help.
1.
Let tn equal the integer closest the √n
For example, t1 = t2 = 1 since √1=1 and √2=1.41 and t3=2 since √3=1.71.
What is the sum of the following? 1/t1 + 1/t2 + 1/t3 + 1/t4 + ... + 1/t2008 + 1/t2009 + 1/t2010
2. Alex chose positive integers a, b, c, d, e, f and completely multiplied out the polynomial product
(1 - x)a(1 + x)b(1 - x + x2)c(1 + x2)d(1 + x + x2)e(1 + x + x2 + x3 + x4)f
After she simplified her result, she discarded any term involving x to any power greater than 6 and was astonished to see that what was left was 1 - 2x. If a > d + e + f and b > c + d and e > c, what value of a did she choose? |

| 1. answer is 88+(2/3) I too lazy too further simplify for u. (1/t1 + 1/t2)= 1+1=2 (1/t3 + 1/t4...1/t6)= 2 sum of all even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8,...)=2010 ( 2 (1's), 4 (1/2)'s, 6 (1/3)'s etc...) 2-88 sum of every even integer is 1980 2010-1980= 30 30* (1/45)<---- (90/2 gets u the 45 denominator) (total of 90 (1/45)s)=2/3 2* 44(integers from 2-88 the even ones)=88 sum= 88 and two thirds. feel free to flame me if i do this wrong im to lazy to help u out on #2 if u really need help ill try to do it 4 u. |

| Thx for help, I got to the part where 2-88 was 1980 then I didn't know what to do with the 30 that was left. I didn't even know where to start with the second one so I thought I'd see if someone else knew how to get it. Thanks. |
