No buttons

Sometimes when i load a game on gameranger, i have absolutely no buttons in game. This means no eco ups, no age up. Stuck in archaic and i often have to quit which annoys people in the community. I have tried to delete absolutely everything and then reinstall to no avail. My current operating system is an original windows 7 that came with my laptop. Its on run as admin. Someone suggested i download a UI which i did, still didnt help at all. Then I had the suggestion of running with compatibility of Windows XP service pack 3. Still nothing. Here are some screen shots of what i mean by no buttons. Please help!

As you can see theres no age up, no eco ups, nothing for ulfsark etc. Everything is missing. BTW its not the UI because i was having this problem loooong before i downloaded it and sometimes it comes up regardless of the UI. (edit: the image hosting for the ulsark and ox cart messed up but similarly to the TC there is no buttons there either)

And +1 for reinstalling the game with a "Clean installer" because files can be corrupted on a CD or hard drive.

Yes shortcuts work but there is no shortcut for eco ups and age up unfortunately....
Otherwise i would be fine. BTW rage, what do you mean clean installer? Im using the same one i've used before on my XP and i never had this problem before.

dude those graphics suck, your computer must have been made by a caveman lol go to options and pump them up a bit man.

Retard, i play on the lowest settings. Plus i saved the picture as a JPG for it to be smaller. My computer is better than yours 100%. Dont post useless crap please, thank you. Stop double posting. USE THE EDIT BUTTON!

I'm redownloading from a thepiratebay torrent. The main one i had before that never cause problems. But i doubt it has anything to do with the installer.

any game modifications other then the UI?

Nothing. I update by connecting to eso as opposed to downloading it from the microsoft website.

well... your best bet is reinstalling then

normally I'd say this is an UI case (aom ui on aot doesn't work) however you already specifically said it's not the UI, so yeah.. reinstal

I just fully uninstalled, deleted all folders and reinstalled with a new installer still getting the same problem. Im thinking it might be something in the registry of it. Anyone know how i can reset those?

try installing aom from any other source hope it works...

Its got nothing to do with corrupted installer. Im pretty sure of it. It wasnt like this when i installed before on my windows XP with the exact same installer.

Just system restore click menu and type in "system restore" and restore it to a previous time it worked. Should take less then 5mins

Yeah, restore is a good way to fix 90% of frequent problems !!



But if it fails :

The link on pclive server is a gold version I've uploaded, directly copied from my CDs... so a clean version, but french one.

By clean version, I mean a version that contains no corrupted file... because bits can change from 1 to 0 even on a CD or hard drive and bring bugs when installed.

I think you should uninstall the game, update xp but take care of Internet explorer versions... there are many bugs, and patches are needed from IE7.

Run regcleaner or ccleaner or another software that clean your registry as you suggested.

Then reboot and try to install aom.

Hope this is gonna work.
