how do you watch them? like i watch pro recs differently from recs where i lose.
with fog of war? your opponents view? are you looking at mircro? build orders? what kind of strategy is being executed ex: 2 tc full pop army? or fh? maybe pressuring of resources? what other aspects are important to look at?

I usually start by predicting what the players are going to do, I usually watch without view lock, with fog of war and normal speed. Though I do speed up the game every now and then.
When I watch my own games I continually go back and forth watching what the opponent is doing and what I was doing at that time. It usually gives me great insight 'ah if I had attacked now I would've won' or 'I should've been raiding his gold at that time'
maybe I can make a vod of me watching a recorded game.

oh damn trying to predict what they're gonna do I will try that for pro recs. Yeah there's a lot of times when im too afraid of losing my army so i wont attack, and then in rec i realize what a pussy I was being. I think a lot people don't understand how important recorded games are.
