is lagg an excuse for noobs?

So, i played 1v1 random god vs bazooka he got zeus and i got gaia both werent our best gods, and we keep on playing but then i do some fowardin on his tc and he keeps on blamin the lag till the end of game.
So, was the lagg a factor on this game?

if the micro is the key in the match the lagg is a very important factor, if u play ATTY so its ok =)

Lagging is very bad when you are trying to micro, or even if you are an eggy & when you want to Make A+E, after you make ancestors & when it is lagging, if the opponent has Cease-fire/Frost, he can put it in btw ur A+E [But he must be very lucky xD ]

I think Cents would have been effective in this map.But they are hard to micro especially in the lag. So i think lagging is bad. As gaia you should have upgraded all the eco upgrades (husbandry is optional) before you start advancing to classical. I think making of turma heroes than automatons is better as automatons can be killed by odysseus easily.

of course lag is annoying, it's the main reason I don't bother with specators or 3v3. You simply can't micro with lag and it takes 3 times as long to place farms and houses and such. Of course for noobs it doesn't matter since they place their farms and houses randomly and they don't micro anyways.

On eso there's a huge amount of Brazilian atty players. They all lag immensely but it doesn't matter for them since they play atty. Soooo annoying....

Ull never have a 100% lagg free game, micro its important but aint that much for loosin a game but thats just my point of view, im not a microskilled player perhaps thats why it doesnt seem important for me. Although all the 17++ i ve played with they all say im missin some micro so...

reasons for lag can be:
1, slow computer, your computer can't handle all the stuff happening, but since the game is so old I doubt anybody here is running a windows 98 computer with some crappy stats
2, slow internet, because brazilians live in mudhuts in the jungle they don't have a dsl connection like the rest of us. No instead they use a cloath hanger to gain a 2kbs connection to the internet.

gg i use 1 mb conection, so it wont lagg ever

no, 54mbps is WLAN speed, LAN is typically 100mbps.

and goldylocks is right actually, you dont have a 1mbps connection, for that would be slower than dial up.
