Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

| Set the resolution where the height matches that of your widescreen resolution, and enable window mode ingame. TADDAAA | |

| ok I worked out the solution that not only works on Gameranger, but Voobly as well. follow these steps:
1. Find out your screen resolution. It could be 1024x768, 1366x768, 1600x1200, whatever. Here the bigger number is your horizontal resolution or "xres", and the smaller number is your vertical resolution or "yres".
2. Go to the startup folder of your AoM directory. Typically, this is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\startup.
3. In the startup folder, look for and open gamesettings2.bar, I use Notepad++ for these things, but you can open it in plain old windows Notepad too.
4. Look for the line that lists xres=1024(or whatever the default is). here, make xres your screen horizontal resolution. Hit Enter to go to the next line and add yres=whatever your screen vertical resolution is.
Save the file and you're done!!! Probably a good idea to save a copy of your gamesettings2.bar file before you do anything though.
Admin, since there seems to be so little on this issue, could this be pinned? It would help quite a few people I'm sure. Thanks.
If anyone has any problems, I'm here to help.
UPDATE
Apparently, in some instances, it didn't work. In that case, locate the user.cfg file in the same directory and open it with notepad. Here add the following lines:
xres=whatever your horizontal res is yres=whatever your vertical res is
save the file and it should work now. let me know.

| just create a new file in the startup folder named user.cfg open it in notepad and put xres=? and yres=? and you can also add +nointrocinematics | |

| Fall guy your solution has already been tryed here but thanks anyways.
For the moment only naka' solution works.
I asked GR owner if it would be possible to add parameters when launching aomx.exe. He'll maybe take it into account... wait and see
