| Age of Mythology Major Gods: A breif overveiw.
GREEKS Zeus Bolt God Power can kill enemy units’ effectivly. Not as good as Lightning Storm but useful early on when you have single enemies coming, or if you are massing an army and you don’t want a scout to see. Can get past the 100-favor limit up to 200. This means if you are queing many units that take up lots of favor, you can train twice as many units than any other God. ONLY major God that can worship Hera when advancing to the mythic age. This is useful if your enemy is likely to use seige weopons to destroy buildings because of Athenian Wall. Alse the Carcinos is about the same as a Kraken. Medusae can kill units in one attack but they have to wait to recharge before they can use it again. You may need many of these to shut down an entire army but that’s assuming they all do not attempt to use their attack on the same unit. All infantry do much more damage to buildings and Hoplites move faster, ensuring that infantry go places quick and kill quick.
Poseidon Lure God Power can be useful on hunting maps. It will attract 1000 food and then disappear. Place near your Town Centre and/or Towers to gain help in hunting. Hunting is much faster than farming or foraging. Market, techs and caravans cheaper Fishing ship and caravans work quicker. Cavalry cheaper for easier hit-and-run attacks. Militias appear at destroyed buildings for instant infantry. I would not start destroying your own buildings for this though; they are not strong enough to do much damage.
Hades Sentinal God Power useful for defending settlements in hostile locations, like near an enemy fort. This is also useful if you use the DIVINE INTERVENTION cheat to get extra. Just use this on all settlements in an area. In addition, if there is room, you can use it again on the same settlement and it will create more. Vault of Erebus tech useful for players who run out of resources, but slowly. A bit like the Plenty Vault, but, unfortunatly, only for wood and gold. Buildins and archers have increased attack. Useful in areas you use the Sentinal God power. Buildings have more hitpoints, which, like Hera’s Athenian Wall, makes Hades useful for maps where you are attackes by seige. Dead soldiers may generate Shades (Please note that these are Hades Shades, not the shades that disappear when they steal souls. They still cannot attack buildings.).
EGYPTIONS Ra Rain God Power not only helps your farmers but also stops all other God Powers’ form being used. Preists can empower a building like a Pharoh, allowing much more work to be done a lot quicker. I recommend that you have your Pharoh(s)/Son of Osiris’ to empower your Town centre though. Chariots and camels have more hp and are faster, which is ideal for the hit-and-run attacks. Monuments are cheaper and stronger.
Isis Prosperity God Power helps all miners but, unlike Rain, does not stop other God Powers from being used. Monuments sheild from enemy God Powers. This is useful if the enemy has powerful God Powers such as Tornado or Meteor which could potnetially destroy you. +3 pop cap for Town Centres. Very useful for players who use many units in a battle. Improvenments Cheaper. I am not sure whether it means the improvments given by minor Gods, normal improvements, or both.
Set Vision God Power allows you to see part of the map without fog for a while. A good idea is to use it where you think an enemy might be. That way you might (or might not) find out at least one thing about the enemy, even if it is just where a food camp of mining camp is. Preist can convert wild animals for an army of animals. Apart from the preist, it is free. Pharoh can summon animals, which is a bit like the preist but they are already under your control and you have the pay for it. Archers’ train faster, meaning you can get quick, long-range armies Migdol Stronghold cheaper. This means you will not be wasting valuble resources that you can use on other tchs/units/improvements.
NORSE Odin Great Hunt God Power useful on maps that most food is from huntng. Usually used near two or three different animals. Not recommended for Elephants though. Human units regenerate as if Heros do. This means that, given a while, your units will be on full health. Hill forts have more hitpoint, which can be very useful for seige weopon attacks. Respawning Ravens from Odin to explore. Just like the Pegasus. Villagers hunt faster. This is useful for munting maps in which the only source of food is hunting and you need it quick. If you train a Hesir at a temple and then other Myth units, the Myth units will train almost instantly.
Thor Dwarven Mine God Power has more gold in it the later on you invoke it. The largest amount, however, is 8000 Gold and that is anywhere after 20 minutes. Good for maps where you need lots of Gold, but not useful because you have to wait 20 minutes for the God Power to give you enough gold (An adviser in another game once asked me money would be enough. “I have no need of fools who can imagine enough,” I told the advisor’s corpse.) Special Armory availible in all ages which can upgrade much further than iron. Dwarves excel at mining gold, chopping wood and gathering food. (When they farm the appear to be using pick axes.) Dwarves cheaper. If you train a Hesir at a temple and then other Myth units, the Myth units will train almost instantly.
Loki Spy God Power useful for seeing what it sees. Even I you only get a villaiger that builds something and the farms at the Town Centre, you should be able to see when that enemy attacks or gets ready to do so. Heros in combat summon Myth units on their own. Very useful if you do not want to waste time telling a temple to create a giant and then wait for it to join the battle. You still have to pay however. Myth units cost less favor. Use it to create more. Ox Carts are cheaper and faster but they are weaker. ONLY Major God to be able to worship Hel when advancing to the mythic age. Hel is one of the best Gods the Norse has. Not only do you get the ledgenary Nidhogg you get all of the giants. If you train a Hesir at a temple and then other Myth units, the Myth units will train almost instantly.

| There seem to be alot of errors. Maybe this is for normal aom (not titans) because some of the stuff might be different in normal aom. It would explain why there is no Atlanteans and some of the advice is just plain bad.
Looks like this was copied from somewhere else

| No. Loki hesirs spawn myth units on their own while they are fighting. The loki player doesn't pay for them and as far as I know it's random as to when they summon them (but it's only during fight). | |
