5:42 heroic !! Beat that!!

Now when i watch the rec again, i think i should've exploited the map even more
Because there really was no need for that second ox cart (100 resources!).

Edit:
btw, one time i calculated (on paper) how many villagers to make for the fastest classical advance (around 2:46).
I lost that paper, but i can do it again to show how i did it, if someone is honestly interested in the calculation.
I had also devised a graphical method, though i never tried it.

and men i dont think u wasted resources...second ox cart was important for ur gold miners...
and yes food placement is very necessary to break this recrd...i am still trying to cut down 13

and only thor can break or achieve this time limit coz of cheap and early availability of armory so its useless trying other gods :/ ( i tried with Poseidon though coz of lure but not so good results like with thor)

back when i was severely, severely struggling beating a heimdall rush, i considered upping at 3-330 and basically getting a jump on the rush.... its pretty map dependant with hunt and straggler trees (i was playing thor, btw). i never tried it online vs an actual opponent simply because i wasn't comfortable doing it (only did it like 4 or 5 times vs ai to see if i could get a biuld order set up)

anyways i think i just gave up cuz ur eco is so shitty lol

gaia is probably one of the best gods for beating your record.

i did the fast heroic in 5:43 but i think it didn't record because i restarted the game

It isn't for trying online, OBVIOUSLY.
Your advance time will leave you with lots of economy imbalance, & the ONLY way you will win(if you try this) is that your Enemy gets Intimidated & scared to death by your advance time, so that he instantly Resigns.

@ regin, thats not correct lol. it's a super early ulf rush, so i'd have a military advantage by having ulfs (with high attack) taking down his forward temple -> ulf raiding his eco before he's even classical yet, which gives me ample time to catch up and focus on my eco.
remember i was only going to use this vs a heimdall rush (also may be viable vs zeus).

in fact, with odin this strat is FANTASTIC to do vs poseidon . odin has that ulfsark upgrade... i can't remember what it's called, it costs some favor and a chunk of wood... anyways it makes ulfs fast and i think on aom it gives them a slight bonus vs cavalry. so anyways, mass ulfsark raiding + raping lol. you dont quite do a 330 advance tho lol, 4:30 is sufficient or maybe a tad earlier

Won't work with Odin if you ask me. Besides, you will have to waste another 15 seconds to build an armory after you get Classic.
Thor's Dwarven mine, cheaper dwarves is greater than Odin's Great Hunt.

thor is the fastest god ....armory is cheaper and you can build it anytime also dwarfs... cheaper and gather wood faster....

My posts in this thread have not been about an fm time, they've been about a completely different strat (super early ulf rushing loki. then after i mentioned a strat that odin can do well vs poseidon and possibly atty and rape hard).

3:30 instead of 4:30 is a 200 resource loss.
But it should be done if it can save your arse against a rusher.

I had read it.
But since Epsilon said that its obviously a bad idea, i wanted to correct him and say that advancing at 3:30 could save one from defeat.
I calced the resource loss so that everyone is aware.

lol what, nobody was even talking about Heimdall rush(see topic title). I thought you were talking about 5:42 heroic against online opponents!

i didn't misunderstand hahaha, i can't remember why i started talking about doing a 3.30 up vs heimdall... but i did xD.

@ jake, resource loss? that doesn't matter since my classical ulfs are attacking his archaic buildings + units.
