BO Poseidon!

Ideals for basic build orders for poseidon any situation

Non-Water :

1.Initial villagers to hunt and research hunting dogs. Invoke lure next to TC or granary. Make villagers to food until you have 5 gathering food.
2.Send the scout to search for the next nearest hunt. Make villagers for wood untill you have 3.
3.Build a house with the next villager.
4.Build a store house for gold with the next villager. After the house is completed keep him on gold. Train an another villager for gold. Now you have 5-3-3.
5.Now 2 to food.
6.Now 4 to food.
7.Build temple when you have enough resources.
8.Now 1 to wood and 1 to gold. So you have 10-4-4.
9.Advance through hermes. Reseach pickaxe and handaxe while advancing.

Classical age :

Economy : It depends on what unit you will be training.

Military :
Against Norse : Build 3 stables and train hippikons and raid.
Against Egypt : Do the same as above.
Against Atties : Build two stables and do hippikon + cent rush.
Against Greeks : Build two stables and one archery range. Advance though ares in this case.

Against zeus : If your opponent is performing cent strangle then advance heroic and train atlanta. This is because the archer hero of poseidon fires slowly allowing the cents to run away easily.

Water maps :

1.Initial 3 to food.The next villager from tc to build dock and then house. After building both bring him back to collect food.
2.make villagers for wood untill you have 8 to wood.
3. Villagers to gold untill you have 3-4.
4.make temple when appropriate. and build houses.
5.Advance at a time of 4:30- 5:30.

These are the BOs i use.
Recorded game : 2v2 Posiedon and Posiedon vs isis and isis
The game was won by the isis team as they had great luck with wonder.

There's no such thing as an ideal build order. Any build order can work. There's few things you must take in consideration:
1) what time do I want to be classical?
You can't cent rush an atty when you use the standard 5,3,3 build order as described above because he will be classical before you.
2) what upgrades do I want at what time?
If you are rushing a norse you will probably buy your eco ups later on, but when you are trying a centaur rush getting handaxe might be a good idea. When playing egyptians who tend to up late you might want to take all eco ups before you even hit classical.

well my prob is that you have to have archers vs Norse especially Loki because if he has a full hersir army they may b slow, but centaur are useless vs them, and against eggy i cant raid efecticly becasue of those towers and spearmen. As soon as he gets herioc asap he makes 10 camels and they beat my 20 hippikons, then he raids the hell out of me, and takes two tcs

10 camels do not beat 20 hippikon, I doubt 10 camels will defeat 12 hippikon, they are a very cost-inefficent counter anyways

not the people i play. they micro there &*^6% off

nobody I have played on gameranger (except for mayanempire) has shown any kind of micro

Without upgrades the 12 Hippikon beats 10 Camels.
How viable is building spam in lategame?

Well that is really only because I have only played one person that was 17+.
And I usually get disconnected/resign hack/freeze hack/whatever once every 2-3 games
Which is stopping my rate from going up. Not really sure how to stop this.
Would creating a new account and hope I get lucky with 5-7 straight wins to push me into 17+ work? or are there more cheaters in 17+?

people who create new accounts and self rate so they search rated around 1750 while their account 1600, when you lose you will lose like 40 pts and when you win you will gain 2 pts
but of course you will lose since those people are 1800 most of the time and ALWAYS play isis

I haven't been hacked in a long time on eso. The last time I was hacked some SUD guy oosed me on gameranger (I just lol'd). Eso the only thing you have to worry about are self raters, smurfs, lagging out if your internet sux, smurfs, flamers, smurfs, laggers (like insane lag) and smurfs. Oh, and watch out for smurfs. The occasional hack happens but just shrug it off and keep playing, they don't occur that often.

With poseidon on land i usually do the standard BO
5 food,
3 wood
3 gold (3rd builds house before sent to gold)
4 more to food (Temple with gold villager at some point when u get resources)
1 wood
1 gold
Up
wood and gold eco upgrades when going classical, then 2 stables 1 archery range mass army if im going against norse, just 2 stables against Atty/Eggy, 2 rax 1 arch against greek or 2 stable raiding depending on map.
If its low hunt i just go cent + hip raiding. Using a 3:40-3:50 up BO. However i completely fail on water maps with greeks. Will get the hang of it soon though.

don't go hoplites in greek wars

hmmm, yeh ur right. Seein as Toxotes counter them, Hippikons wont have much of a problem against em considering hops dont actually have bonuses over hippikons

indeed, besides you can raid with hips as well

Whats the best way to do Fast mythic. Say for example in a team game and my teammates are protecting me. As zeus whats the fastest time i can go mythic? Assuming my only army are heros

So whats the best way to fight that archaic militia spawning?
Any way to stop your TC from attacking those houses?

Since you are getting protected by your teammates you can do a 2 TC 11:00-12:00 FM without trouble in high hunt maps.
In low hunt maps forget FM and farm better

When advancing just take two villagers and go to your opponents base. Move your katascpos here and there to distract tc. While the tc is firing at the scout make houses near the tc so that It lies within the fire range. AFter building house move your scout away and when tc fires at house and destroys it militia comes. Build some more houses near it and raid the citizens with militia. Zamalia used this strategy to defeat greg once. #%@! i lost the rec :(

Yes but it will take some years to destroy all the stables by tcs

Yeah, Zamalia used it on me 3 months ago.
But someone used it on me today, forgot who it was, rec is corrupted.
But it worked really well.

militia rush is considered noob and easy to deal with. It may be annoying at the start but its not hard. This is assuming you have seen it before though lol. If you're not expecting it, it can be effective.

I don't think those few militia you get from each barrack will do any damage once he has somewhat of an army, I've seen ghostlake do it vs atties though
