my friends ip is shown as 192.168.1.2, therefore not alowing him to host or join a game. He's not behind any router, he has direct internet connection. Any help?

192.168 is a routed ip, so he has to be.

in gameranger my ip is shown as in whatismyip.com...

If you have same IP in game when you host via gameranger with the website whatismyip.com, it should work and your problem could come from bad version (has to update) or wrong .exe, get the good crack here :

Your friend has a router, otherwise, why 192.168... IP range??
Tell him to disable the connection using this IP in Control panel/ connections management.
If he doesn't lose Internet, his problem can be solved like that.

But I think ha has another connection enabled with an IP range like 10... and that's why gameranger thinks that 192.168 is public IP (whereas it's the private one).

Tell him to check all his connections and IPs, and paste them here.

no router, dirrect connection, however when he disables the lan connection he cannot enable it again...we'll try the crack.


EDIT: With the crack his real ip is shown as alternate one, primary is still 192.168.1.2(allways)

his connections:

Local area connetion(to the external router)
+ the connection to the internet.

It's strange cuz when gameranger launches the game, there is only 1 IP... and no alternate

You get primary and alternate IPs when you launch the game and host manually.

Moreover, your friend shall not insert lines like +direcIPconnectivity... in config files
